This is my sweet ride everywhere. It’s too hot to walk anytime other than the early morning or the late afternoon. And we are prohibited from riding motos. So this bicycle has become my friend!
Dave has a decent mountain bike with blue flame decals. As for me, getting on and off the mountain bike while I was wearing a skirt was quite difficult.
I put my books, my bag, and whatever else in the very useful basket. If I’m biking at night, there is a small headlight. The power is cleverly generated from the resistance created by the front wheel. The chain is enclosed in a metal casing which prevents my clothes from being chewed up. Genius.
By the end of my two years of service here, my goal is to be able to ride my bike with no hands!

Miss you so much, Julie! Glad you’re getting some exercise on that bike
I bet you’re getting lots of squats in too!!
When you achieve your goal, take a picture and mail it to me. It should be great!
You actually need to be going a bit faster than you’d like to be able to ride with no hands. I used to do it all the time when I was a kid, and could actually turn a corner! I still try it sometimes on the Ernst trail in the summer, but Jeff’s always worried that I’m going to wreck with the kids. be brave!
